Accessibility Statement

We firmly believe that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone, and are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless or circumstance and ability.

To fulfill this promise, we aim to adhere as closely as possible to the Web Content Accessibility Guildelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level, published by the W3C. These guidelines explain how to make web content accessble to people with a wide array of different abilities. Complying with those guidelines helps us provide a site that is accessible to all people.

Darn Pottery utilizes various measures to ensure our website is accessible to everyone! To that end, we:

  • Include accessibility throughout our internal policies.
  • Appoint an accessibility officer and/or ombudsperson.
  • Provide continual accessibility training for our staff.
  • Assign clear accessibility targets and responsibilities.
  • Employ formal accessibility quality assurance methods.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Darn Pottery is working toward being fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Fully conformant means that the content fully conforms to the accessibility standard without any exceptions.

Despite our very best efforts, it is possible that there will still be pages or sections that are not fully accessible, are in the process of becoming accessible, or are lacking an adequate technological solution to make them accessible. We will keep getting better! We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the Darn Pottery website.

If you’ve discovered a bug or malfunction, if you find any aspect of the interface difficult to use, or if you have improvement ideas, we’d love to hear from you. Please email us at
