SHIPPING & RETURNS

SHIPPING

For domestic U.S. orders only, we offer free standard shipping on orders of $75+. We charge a flat rate shipping fee of $7.50 for all orders under $75. We ship our products to Canada for an additional shipping fee, and customers will be responsible for any applicable duties & taxes on delivery. Note that standard shipping may be a slower delivery service than USPS Priority Mail or FedEx Ground.

To guarantee delivery of your order, select to add “signature confirmation” in your cart at the beginning of the checkout process. This will confirm that your package will not be left on your porch, doorstep or hallway and protect your order from possibly being stolen. Please note that signature confirmation does not speed up the delivery time (in fact, it may delay the delivery of your package if no-one is available to sign for it) nor does it provide any additional tracking information. If you do not select to add “signature confirmation” at checkout and your package is lost or stolen after delivery, we will not be responsible for replacing the lost or stolen items in the shipment.

USPS Priority Shipping is available for U.S. orders for a flat fee of $15.00. Please select this method at checkout otherwise standard shipping will apply.

We ship Monday through Friday, except during holidays. Our studio is many miles off the beaten path and we are at the mercy of the USPS/FedEx drivers to pick up our packages. Standard orders placed after 10am go out the next day. Custom or Personalized orders typically take 5-7 days to custom make for you. T-shirts can take up to 15 business days to custom print for you prior to shipping.

We ship domestic in-stock U.S. pottery orders via USPS Priority Mail or FedEx – both typically take 3-7 business days. Canadian orders are shipped via USPS and may take longer. We do not ship internationally outside of Canada (we love our polite northern neighbors and your national health service). We hope to provide this service in the future.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Our return policy lasts 15 days, if 15 days have gone by since your purchase was delivered, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

The process is easy! Just send us an email at [email protected] to get started.

If we messed something up – sent you an item, color, design or size OTHER than what you ordered, or if the item arrived damaged or broken – return shipping charges are on us! Our customer care representative will email you a prepaid return label. Once we receive your item, we’ll send you a replacement or a refund.

If your order arrives broken we need your help to file a claim with the carrier! No matter how well we pack products (and we mean WELL!), the shipping companies occasionally manage to break something. If this happens, here’s what you do:

1. Immediately photograph the package and the broken piece(s).

2. Contact us at [email protected]

3. Rest assured that a replacement will be on the way just as soon as possible. Please retain the packing materials for the shipper to pick up.

If you simply changed your mind, that’s ok too. Returned goods must be in brand new condition. Used, washed, or damaged items are not eligible for return. Please email Customer Service at [email protected] for a return authorization form. Fill it out and simply enclose it with your item. Use the original packaging to return to us. You are responsible for shipping and any insurance. (We are not responsible for any damage that occurs during return/exchange shipping so we strongly encourage you to pack the items well and ship with tracking and insurance.)

Returns or exchanges must be must be accompanied by a receipt from www.darnpottery.com. If you’ve purchased a Darn Pottery product from one of our valued retailers, we are unfortunately unable to handle your return or exchange. Please return the item at the place it was purchased.

Due to the delicate nature of handmade products, we cannot be responsible for pieces your cat breaks or your dog eats later on. Our products are designed and produced to be durable, but if you drop, freeze or expose ceramics to extreme temperature changes, damage may result. Please be kind.
